The San Diego 100 course is a loop course consisting of a 90% single track mountain course which covers four recreational areas in the east county mountains of San Diego. The 2025 start and finish area are located at the south parking area of Lake Cuyamaca Recreational Area. The course includes trails traversing sections of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), Noble Canyon, the Cuyamaca and the Anza Borrego State Parks, and Mt Laguna Recreational Areas. A very challenging technical course in hot and dry conditions with approximately 15,400 feet of climbing and the same amount of descent with a 32 hour time limit. The race is a once again a qualifier for Western States 100. Pacers are allowed to accompany a runner (one pacer at a time) beginning at Sweetwater. Runners may have multiple pacers (family and friends) accompany them from the picnic tables by the Lake to the finish.
