About Skull Krusher 50k

The Skull Krusher 50k trail racing event takes place on the beautiful Cave Creek / Tonto National Forest trails while taking you up to Skull Mesa. Elevation gain/loss is roughly 5,000+ feet. This race is mostly a self-supported event with only one fully stocked aid station at mile 22. Your water sources are creeks (Trail 4) on the course. You will be carrying all your water, food, hydration and necessary gear (water filter) from the start, or from the aid station. Train for long, totally self-sufficient segments on a fairly difficult and rocky course with majestic scenery.This event is made to be tough. Your endurance and mental grit will be tested. If you're looking for a pancake flat 50k, this isn’t for you. I want you to be challenged and know that you will be rewarded for it once you cross the finish line. If you're looking for an affordable 50k with a scenic desert view, then this race is for you!
